On April 25, 2025, 75-year-old Karen Pautler was found deceased in her bedroom at her home on Frontier Trail in Fenton, Missouri. Responding officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office discovered her body with a traumatic wound to her lower back and additional trauma to her left armpit and upper arm area. Karen suffered from mental health conditions and was described as a frail elder at the time of her death.
