In the winter of 2025, the community of Manistee, Michigan, was shaken by the tragic deaths of Brett Alan Haik and his wife, Melissa. On the afternoon of January 12th, police responded to a 911 call from a roommate at the Haiks' residence on High Street, reporting that two people had sustained gunshot wounds.
