On April 24, 2025, the quiet community of Drew, Mississippi, was shattered by a tragic act of violence that claimed the lives of 19-year-old Kamaya Sims, her 18-year-old sister Bromeshia Sims, and their 40-year-old mother, Aquilla Wallace. The three African American women were found deceased in their Joseph Street home in what was determined to be a triple homicide. The manner of their deaths was by shooting.
