In the early hours of Valentine's Day 2025, a tragedy unfolded inside a home on Detroit's west side, forever altering the lives of two families. Just after midnight, gunshots shattered the quiet of the neighborhood at the corner of Coyle and Keeler streets. When police arrived, they discovered the bodies of 39-year-old Edward Clark III and his friend, 21-year-old La'Triece Galloway. Both had been fatally shot.
Edward, born on May 14, 1985, was described by his father as a bright young man in his mid-30s who loved playing video games and deeply cherished his daughter.
The investigation into the double homicide quickly led to an arrest. The suspect was identified as 30-year-old Keith Arrington, who was not a stranger to the victims. In a painful twist, Arrington was Edward Clark's cousin and also lived in the same house where the killings took place.
