On the Fourth of July in 2008, the life of 28-year-old Franklin Douglas 'Boo' Taylor, an African-American man, was tragically cut short in Omaha, Nebraska. In the early hours of the holiday, police responded to a call at 2564 Crown Point Avenue where they found Taylor suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries.
