In the early morning hours of March 12, 2025, a verbal dispute at the Bluegrass Inn on Winchester Avenue in Ashland, Kentucky, escalated into a fatal encounter for Barry Justin Burton. The 30-year-old man, a resident of Ashland, was found with a gunshot wound in the motel's parking lot.
