Nunez was celebrating the arrival of the new year with his boyfriend, Chris Dillon, at Dillon’s home on Northeast 17th Court. As the clock struck midnight, the couple embraced on the patio overlooking the Middle River. In a moment of joy, they exchanged heartfelt words of love. However, just seconds later, Nunez suddenly collapsed.
Dillon initially believed his partner had simply fallen, but upon closer inspection, he discovered a small slit on Nunez’s stomach. Emergency services were called, but Nunez did not survive.
