Matthew Alvarado, a 19-year-old Latino male from Bell Gardens, was fatally shot in Compton, California, on January 28, 2025. The incident occurred while he was seated inside a vehicle in the 2200 block of East Rosecrans Avenue, between North Willowbrook Avenue and Mulberry Street. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office determined the manner of death to be homicide, with the cause being a gunshot wound to the head.
