Michael Shay Drummond Jr., a 34-year-old African American man from Peoria, Illinois, tragically lost his life on the night of March 3, 2025. The incident occurred in South Peoria, where he was shot multiple times in the 2400 block of West Howett Street. Authorities responded to a ShotSpotter alert at approximately 8:53 p.m., which initially detected six rounds fired at the scene.
