On February 4, 2025, at approximately 6:00 AM, 21-year-old Rolando German Ramirez Vargas lost his life in a shooting at Potomac Park in Bakersfield, California. When Kern County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a shooting, they found Vargas suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, prompting an immediate response from homicide detectives who took over the investigation.
