Death by Force

In the early morning hours of December 30, 2024, the life of Christina Blount, a 38-year-old Black or African American woman, was tragically cut short in Iowa City, Iowa. At approximately 2:38 a.m., the Iowa City Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 600 block of South Dodge Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Blount, who had sustained gunshot wounds. She was promptly transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
