In the autumn of 1991, a tragedy unfolded on the University of Iowa campus that left an indelible mark on the community. On November 1st, a former graduate student, Gang Lu, embarked on a shooting rampage that would claim the lives of five individuals and injure another. Among the victims was Theresa Anne Cleary, a respected 56-year-old White female who served as the university's Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs.
