Cobb County police are actively investigating the fatal shooting of 33-year-old Desmond Carter in Austell, Georgia. Authorities responded to a residence on Powder Springs Road on the evening of February 25, 2025, after receiving a distressing 911 call from a man who claimed he had just shot his friend. Upon arrival, officers found Carter inside the home, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
