Jerald P. Fahey, a 51-year-old man from Springfield, Illinois, was fatally shot on the night of April 1, 2025. The incident occurred after a traffic accident in the 2000 block of North Dirksen Parkway. Fahey had reportedly arrived at the scene in response to a call from an injured woman he knew.
