Marlon Orlando Samuels, a 44-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in North Lauderdale, Florida, on April 14, 2025. The incident occurred just after 7 p.m. near the 900 block of Southwest 81st Avenue. According to investigators, Samuels was involved in an altercation with an unidentified individual when the confrontation escalated, leading to the suspect shooting him multiple times.
His 20-year-old son, Mikyle Immanuel Samuels, was also shot during the attack but survived with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Authorities from the Broward Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, where Marlon Samuels was pronounced dead. His son was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect fled immediately after the shooting and remains at large. Law enforcement officials have urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that anonymous tips could be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
