On April 30, 2025, the life of 64-year-old Ronni Marzolf, a White female, was tragically cut short in what authorities have described as a random act of violence at her home in Golden Valley, Arizona. The chain of events leading to her death began earlier that day in Kingman, where 36-year-old Jeremy Muse allegedly held his girlfriend and her children hostage for several days.
After his girlfriend managed to escape, Muse reportedly fired at her as she fled, though she was not injured.
Approximately an hour later, Muse is believed to have traveled to Marzolf's residence in the 3700 block of North Bosque Road and fatally shot her. There is no indication that Muse and Marzolf knew each other.
Following the homicide, law enforcement located Muse's vehicle near Highway 66 and Mohave Airport Drive. When officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, Muse fled, leading to a high-speed pursuit involving multiple law enforcement agencies. During the chase, Muse fired at the pursuing officers, striking at least one patrol car.
The chase came to an end in Kingman when Muse's vehicle crashed at the intersection of Airway Avenue and Willow Road. After the crash, Muse exited his vehicle and engaged in a shootout with officers. He was shot multiple times and was subsequently transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center before being airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital in critical condition. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the homicide, while the Arizona Department of Public Safety is handling the investigation into the crash and the officer-involved shooting.
