Orlando Demetrius Smoots Jr., a 24-year-old African American male from Mobile, Alabama, tragically lost his life on February 27, 2025. The incident occurred in the evening hours, around 6:15 p.m., in the Cherry Ridge Court area of West Mobile. Reports indicate that Orlando Smoots Jr. was shot and later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
