Fred Moore, a 44-year-old white male, was murdered on March 10, 1944, in Maryland. His death was part of a violent spree carried out by Luther McClam, a 27-year-old Black male serial killer from South Carolina. On that same day, McClam also murdered two other individuals: Ray Moore, a 22-year-old male, and Thomas Tate, a 33-year-old male. All three victims were beaten to death.
