Ericka Leonor Aleman, a six-week-old infant, tragically lost her life on October 8, 1980, in Muleshoe, Bailey County, Texas. She was murdered by her cousin, Diana Lumbrera, who was later identified as a serial killer responsible for the deaths of multiple children, including six of her own. Lumbrera systematically suffocated her victims over a span of 14 years, often rushing them to the hospital after they had already died and blaming medical staff for their inability to resuscitate them.
