On June 11, 1986, a devastating house fire in Iraan, Texas, claimed the lives of two women: Elizabeth “Betsy” Grace Beleu, a 24-year-old white female, and Gail Joe Allison, a 25-year-old white female. The fire occurred in the early morning hours and was later determined to be of incendiary origin.
