On June 11, 1986, a devastating house fire in Iraan, Texas, claimed the lives of two women: Elizabeth “Betsy” Grace Beleu, a 24-year-old white female, and Gail Joe Allison, a 25-year-old white female. The fire occurred in the early morning hours and was later determined to be of incendiary origin. The charred remains of both women were discovered in separate bedrooms of the three-bedroom home they were occupying.
