On the evening of November 2, 1978, Leigh Ann Wilson, a 36-year-old White female, left her apartment in Jefferson City, Missouri, for a seemingly routine errand to a nearby gas station. This ordinary act would tragically be her last. Sometime after she was seen alone in her vehicle at the gas station, she vanished, never returning to her home and her two daughters.
