Trineisha Dené Colomb, a 23-year-old African American woman from Lafayette, Louisiana, was a former U.S. Army soldier with aspirations to join the Marines. On November 21, 2002, she disappeared while visiting her mother's grave in Grand Coteau. Her car was later found abandoned near the cemetery. Three days after her disappearance, a hunter discovered her body in a wooded area near Scott, Louisiana. An autopsy revealed that she had been beaten to death.
