Virginia Lee Witte, a 51-year-old woman, was found dead in her Marion home on May 12, 1978. She had been strangled to death and suffered a severe knife wound. Her husband, David Witte, discovered her body.

The investigation into her murder eventually linked her death to Timothy Wayne Krajcir, a convicted serial killer. Krajcir, who was active between 1977 and 1982, was known for targeting women across multiple states, including Missouri, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. His crimes w ...
