Lee Anthony Bugay, a 27-year-old man, was found beaten to death on February 21, 1991, in the Courtney Campbell Mangroves near Tampa, Florida. His body was discovered on the beach, and investigators determined that he had suffered fatal head injuries, likely inflicted by a tire iron or a pipe. Bugay had been reported missing the previous morning, and his vehicle was later found at a nearby boat ramp.
