Laurie Ann Pentland, a 23-year-old White/Caucasian woman, was found deceased in Salem, Oregon, in November of 1992. It is believed she was killed on the night of November 8th or in the early hours of November 9th. Her body was discovered behind an east Salem store. Initially, investigators had no leads as to who was responsible for her death, which was determined to be caused by strangulation.
