Demetrius Williams, aged 15, was shot and killed on May 25, 2007, in St. Louis, Missouri. The shooting took place in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood, a part of St. Louis that has seen several instances of violent crime. The young teenager was found by police officers who had responded to reports of gunfire. When they arrived at the scene, Demetrius was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
