Samuel Jacob Haugh, a 65-year-old white male, died on November 5, 1905, in Dayton, Ohio, under tragic circumstances. He was the victim of a calculated and brutal crime committed by his own son, Dr. Oliver Crook Haugh. On the night of November 4, 1905, Oliver, under the influence of drugs, murdered his father, Samuel; his mother, Mary Frances Haugh; and his brother, Jesse Lincoln Haugh.
