Harold Bruce McIver, a 29-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on July 12, 1979, in Doraville, Georgia. McIver, who worked as a Taco Bell manager, was fatally shot through the restaurant window in what was later revealed to be a racially motivated attack. His death was part of a series of crimes committed by Joseph Paul Franklin, a known racist serial killer.
