In the spring of 1983, a dark cloud settled over Lexington, Kentucky, with the discovery of a murder that would eventually be tied to a string of heinous crimes. Jay Trulon Reynolds, a 29-year-old White/Caucasian male, was found brutally stabbed to death on March 22, 1983. While he was killed in Lexington, Fayette County, his body was discovered in the neighboring Madison County, a detail that hinted at the transient nature of his killer.
