An unsettling quiet surrounded the discovery of 86-year-old Agnes Deluca's body in her Scranton, Pennsylvania, apartment on October 30, 1990. It had been two days since a brutal attack had ended her life. The scene within her home told a story of a violent struggle; she had been beaten, stabbed, raped, and ultimately strangled.
