Danny Michael Yates, a 14-year-old Caucasian male, tragically lost his life on December 13, 1970, in Houston, Texas. He was one of the victims of Dean Corll, infamously known as "The Candy Man," a serial killer who preyed on teenage boys and young men in Houston and Pasadena, Texas, between 1970 and 1973. Corll, along with his teenage accomplices David Brooks and Elmer Wayne Henley, orchestrated what became known as the Houston Mass Murders, claiming the lives of at least 28 individuals.
