Lily Summers, a 43-year-old woman, was found deceased on April 8, 2002, in a tractor-trailer behind a business. She was one of several victims of Dellmus Charles Colvin, a former long-haul trucker and convicted serial killer. Colvin confessed to murdering multiple women between 1987 and 2005, primarily targeting drug-addicted prostitutes whom he strangled in his truck before disposing of their bodies in various locations.
In September 2006, Colvin pleaded guilty to the murders of five women, including Lily Summers, as part of a plea agreement to avoid the death penalty. He received multiple life sentences and is currently incarcerated at the Lebanon Correctional Institution in Ohio.
Colvin's confessions have led to ongoing investigations into other potential victims. In August 2020, during a podcast interview, he described details of an additional murder, prompting authorities to search an abandoned truck wash in LaSalle County, Illinois, where they discovered possible human remains. This suggests that Colvin's victim count may be higher than initially confirmed.
