Alfred Rowswell, a 46-year-old Caucasian male, was tragically murdered on July 17, 1986, in Los Angeles, California. His death was the result of strangulation, and it occurred in his apartment in the LaFayette Park area. Rowswell had reportedly encountered his killer, Juan Chavez, at a location known for being a pickup spot for male street hustlers. After an exchange, Rowswell invited Chavez back to his apartment.
