Daniel Soto, a 34-year-old Latino male, was fatally shot in Los Angeles on January 12, 2025. The incident occurred on a street, and the Los Angeles County coroner’s office officially identified him as the victim. His death was classified as a homicide, with the cause being multiple gunshot wounds.
The shooting took place at approximately 1:52 a.m. outside the Warwick Nightclub, located at 6507 W. Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood.
Authorities reported that the violence erupted following an argument at closing time. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two victims amidst a large crowd. Daniel Soto was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim was transported to a hospital in an unknown condition.
Shortly after arriving, law enforcement officers identified a man they suspected of involvement in the shooting. A firearm was recovered, and the individual was detained pending further investigation. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the suspect’s identity or any formal charges.
