Gehrig Donald Kilburn, 23, male, died in Denver on April 22, 2012. In the pre-dawn hours, a driver struck a pedestrian on northbound Interstate 25 near the 20th Street area and kept going. Investigators would later place the impact at about 3:15 a.m., as the victim attempted to cross the freeway.

Within minutes, a Colorado State Patrol trooper stopped a speeding vehicle near I-25 and Highway 52, north of Denver, and noticed fresh front-end damage. Investigators connected that damage to t ...
