David Alan Jarman, a 39-year-old white male, was found dead on April 14, 1994, in his Maryland home. Jarman, a loan officer, was last seen at a gay bar in Dupont Circle, Washington, D.C., where witnesses reported seeing him leave with a man who closely resembled Gary Ray Bowles.
