On March 24, 1980, 15-year-old Harry Todd Turner, a Caucasian male, was lured into a van by serial murderer William Bonin and his accomplice William Ray Pugh. Turner had absconded from the Optimist Home for Boys in Highland Park several days earlier. The perpetrators offered him $20 in exchange for sexual favors, enticing him into their vehicle.
