On August 8, 2016, Jason Jermaine Dupre Newman, a 35-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in the Pacoima neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred shortly before 10:45 a.m. at a residence located in the 13000 block of Montford Street. According to the Los Angeles Police Department an argument between Jason Newman and the suspect escalated, resulting in the suspect shooting Newman. The suspect then fled the scene in a burgundy vehicle.
