Yolanda Washington, a 19-year-old African American woman, was tragically murdered on October 17, 1977. Her body was discovered the following day, October 18, 1977, near the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, California. Washington was the first victim of the notorious serial killers known as the Hillside Stranglers.
