Juanita Hardy, a 23-year-old African American woman, was tragically murdered on February 17, 1992, in Highland Park, Michigan. Her body was discovered in Room 35 of the Monterey Motel, where she had been strangled. Hardy was one of the eleven victims of Benjamin Thomas Atkins, also known as the "Woodward Corridor Killer" or the "Highland Park Strangler."
