William Will Griffith, a 30-year-old male, died on July 6, 1904, in Jefferson, Texas. He was a deputy sheriff in Marion County. Griffith was shot in the bowels and was taken to Dr. Armstrong’s office, where he succumbed to his injuries at 7:30 p.m. He was later buried in Section L of the Oakwood Cemetery in Jefferson, Marion County.
