David Maxwell, a 20-year-old male from Kilgore, Texas, was one of five victims in the tragic Kentucky Fried Chicken murders that occurred on September 23, 1983. On that fateful evening, armed robbers abducted five people from the KFC restaurant in Kilgore and took them to a remote oil field road, where they were executed execution-style. The victims included David Maxwell, Joey Johnson , Monty Landers , Mary Tyler , and Opie Ann Hughes .
