Tim Hudson

Deputy Sheriff Tim Hudson, aged 61, was shot and killed on August 20, 1988, while pursuing two robbery suspects along Interstate 10 in Belding, Texas. The suspects, cousins who had escaped from a Kansas prison, were en route to Mexico when they stole gas from a station in Bakersfield, Texas. As Deputy Hudson attempted to stop them using a rolling road block, one of the suspects shot him with a .357 caliber handgun. Both suspects were eventually apprehended.
