Death by Force

Senior Corporal Lawrence David Bromley, age 32, of the Dallas Police Department, was accidentally shot and killed on December 11, 1991. Bromley, who had served with the department for ten years, was involved in an undercover drug operation near 4345 West Camp Wisdom Road. During the operation, Bromley was purchasing narcotics from a suspect when the suspect pulled out a pistol. Responding officers, mistaking Bromley for the suspect, shot him with a police shotgun.
