On November 13, 1992, at approximately 2 p.m., 39-year-old Rita Kay Bertsch Wenzel, a white female, was at her workplace, Langham Creek High School in Cypress, Texas. Her estranged husband, 39-year-old Stephen Paul Wenzel, a white male, arrived at the school in his white Chevrolet van.
