On April 14, 2001, Natasha Nichols, a 25-year-old African American woman from Houston, Texas, tragically lost her life to gun violence. A 1994 graduate of M.B. Smiley High School, Natasha was remembered by friends and family for her warm smile and kind demeanor. Her untimely death left a profound impact on those who knew her.
