John Edward Logan, a 33-year-old male police officer with the Huntington Police Department in Texas, tragically died on March 13, 2004. Officer Logan was shot during a traffic stop when he attempted to arrest a driver who had outstanding warrants. As he approached the suspect, the individual pulled out a handgun and shot Officer Logan in the head and back. Despite being flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
