Maribel Estrada Verazquez, a 41-year-old Hispanic woman, tragically lost her life on February 24, 2005, in Tyler, Texas. Estrada was killed in a violent shooting incident outside the Smith County Courthouse. She was there for a hearing related to her ex-husband's failure to pay child support following their 2004 divorce. Estrada's ex-husband, David Hernandez Arroyo Sr., ambushed her and their 23-year-old son, David Hernandez Arroyo Jr., with an AK-47 assault rifle as they approached the courthou ...
