Rene Cesar Rodriguez, a 21-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on April 30, 2006, in McAllen, Texas. He was attending a housewarming party near Trenton Road when he was shot and killed by 34-year-old Arthur Ramirez. Arthur Ramirez also killed his wife, Alma Ramirez, 32, during the incident. After the shootings, Ramirez barricaded himself in the house for approximately 20 minutes before emerging to fire at the police officers who had arrived at the scene.
