John Scott Gardner, a 30-year-old police officer from Odessa, Texas, tragically lost his life on September 8, 2007. Gardner, who was born on June 7, 1977, in Odessa, had served with the Odessa Police Department for over four years. He was responding to a domestic violence call when the incident occurred.
